Where the Sun Never Sets: Manga Explained
The answer is simple, manga developed a great deal in total isolation from the rest of t he world and achieved its own fundamental laws and techniques through by such means.
All that aside, one of the most astounding reasons for manga’s uniqueness is the fact that it stems from the mind of one man--and his name was Osamu Tezuka.
In his autobiography, he described exactly what it was that made his manga different from its predcessors and contemporaries: (Translated from Japanese.) Until that time (Tezuka is probably referring to the publication of New Treasure Island), most manga were drawn from a two-dimensional perspective, and in the style of a stage play.

I opened this manga expecting a lot of the typical Japanese trappings for romance.
But to me, it’s one of the things I like best about Emma (and manga in general), comparing it to what I know of history, and pondering why things were interpreted such a way through a Japanese lens.
Because seriously, for manga, this is very well researched, and very true to its times.

We will list a couple of good Yuri stories that we felt had a good plot, however we will be listing them with heavy warnings for those not interested in that kind of thing.

Some would not agree with some of the series we have listed however we do list why we believe it belongs here and how much evidence there is. This being said, a series that shows two girls kissing will rank higher then a series that just has two girls hugging.

 Manga @4-ch
I gave OEL mangas a chance and it still doesn't cut it for me. I even went so far as to taking my time in reading different genres of OEL manga just to see if I can really apreciate it but the bottom line for me is that it still sucks.
Another thing about OEL manga is that most OEL manga deals with elves, emo vampires, and a bunch of other stuff that has nothing to do with the things that Otaku love.
I'm not a fan of the manga, but a quick search told me it's more likely that some scene was cut off due to violence or nudity, though I don't know America is strict on such things..
