Idaho is a state in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
As with many other western states, the percentage of Idaho's population identifying themselves as "non-religious" (an umbrella term which is sometimes synonymous with or includes elements of atheism, agnosticism, skepticism, freethought, humanism, secular humanism, heresy, logical positivism, and apathy) is higher than the rest of the country.
Idaho is an important agricultural state, producing nearly one third of the potatoes grown in the United States.

Until 1987, there were but two major four lane highways in Mississippi, not counting the interstates, which were built during the 1960s and 1970s: US 49 south of Jackson and US 90.

These routes are organized so that the 300's run in the northern part of the state, the 400's run in the north-central section, the 500's run in the south-central section, and the 600's run in the most southern section.

The Senate Transportation Committee should reject a bill that would up the speed limit on state highways from 65 mph to 75 mph and remove the 65-mph limit on tractor-trailer rigs traveling Idaho's highways.
Simply put, there's nothing for Idaho to gain by allowing big rigs to navigate our state highways and interstates any faster than 65 (the limit on our interstate highway system), and, with perhaps a few exceptions, the rest of us are just fine traveling 65 mph on our state highways.
According to the state Transportation Department, there are about 400 road miles out there that could see a bump in the speed limit, including a stretch of Highway 75 between Twin Falls and Sun Valley and Highway 20 from Mountain Home to Fairfield.

The long-term goals of the National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program are to describe status and trends in the quality of a large, representative part of the Nation's surface- and ground-water resources and to identify the natural and human factors that affect their quality.
The hydraulic head/spring discharge relation that was developed from data collected during the study indicated that the measured decline in spring discharge of 2,400 gallons per minute between 1964 and 1992 corresponded to a decline in hydraulic head of 34 feet near the springs, an amount comparable to declines measured elsewhere in the area.
These data are critical for day-to-day administration and management of water resources, for determining the extent and severity of droughts, for characterizing and predicting conditions during floods, and for monitoring the effects of human activities on streamflow, ground-water supply, and water quality.
