Listings for each county include the dates and numbers of militia enrollment forms issued and the names and addresses of persons to whom forms were sent, names and ranks of militia officers commissioned, and the names and locations of militia units assigned to.
Listings, arranged by county in which solders were recruited, include each recruit's name, town of residence, regiment assigned to, name of mustering officer, date of muster, and number of muster roll recruit appears on (RS 301.018).
Listed for each county are the name of organizer assigned to county, date of authorization, and infrequent notations (e.g., declined, company is full, reports maximum company, number of men recruited).

In the early 1890’s, eight railroads were party to an at-grade crossing near the Illinois/Indiana State Line in Hammond, Indiana.
Currently, the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, CSX Transportation, Inc., the Norfolk Southern Corporation, and the Northwest Indiana Commuter Transportation District are the remaining parties to this interlocking.
But the railroad was rerouted, and in 1941 the tracks were removed and the two sections united.

This years topic is "Bitterns, Herons, Egrets and Rails and Their Allies of Illinois." If you thought you knew this group of birds, come to the Seminar and find out how little you actually know.
It would be a worthwhile "project" for far southern Illinois birders to try and keep tabs on their breeding birds in upcoming years just to see how long into August (?) or later (?) they remain noticeable there.
The same with Cackling Goose, which I have seen many times in Illinois, but it was not until I made a special trip to Libertyville to see a small flock that I added it.
