I was the recipient of one of the Batten Summer Scholarships for pre-honors research for the summer of 2004.
The grant was so last minute that I do not believe I am even listed as a recipient, but it enabled me to work on a project of extreme interest to me when I would otherwise have been unable to spare those hours from working a summer job.
The listings of textiles and clothing in the inventory are extensive and I was thrilled at the possibility of placing this clothing in its cultural context.
