In the Kyrgyz Republic there are 6 children's homes and 4 boarding schools for children deprived of parental care with a total complement of 1,238 children, of which 824 or 79.4 per cent have parents but have been deprived of parental care, and 214 or 20.6 per cent are orphans whose parents have died.

At the most optimistic, It is an unfulfilling freedom, one aware of the limits placed on it by an outside power, the CCP, and aware that the public spaces given over to it (in economics, fashions, travel) are lower level freedoms.
At the more pessimistic end of the spectrum (the place, I believe, closer to the truth of things here), it suffices to say that China is a one-party state where even relatively innocent disagreement with the party will land you in a bad place.

It purports to list borrowed words by their languages of origin (and it's the number one Google hit for "borrowed words," so I'm not just picking on some obscure site no one will ever see).
I don't blame the people who compiled the list, who are simply enthusiastic amateurs who love words and had no means of judging the validity of the etymologies they ran across, but it's depressing to think this is what people looking for information online will find and cite.
Here is a much more reliable list: only one word per language, but at least you can be pretty sure that word is correctly listed.
