The casino maintains a list, now 2,500 name long, of customers who they suspect have gambling problems and who are no longer permitted to play in their casinos, said spokesman Robert Stewart.

Las Vegas Metro Police report "quite a few calls'' Monday night of people sighting strange lights in the skies northwest of the city, in the direction of the top secret Area 51 base.
But the police dispatcher said the lights were spotted northwest of the city, whereas Vandenberg is southwest of Las Vegas.
She said there were "well over a dozen lights.'' The lights were in the general direction of Area 51, a top secret base about 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas, the dispatcher said.

Statistics released Thursday by the National Association of Realtors showed that the median home price in the Las Vegas Valley rose to $291,000 in the first quarter, an increase of 29.4 percent when compared with a median price of $266,400 in the same quarter a year ago.
Las Vegas' rank is lower than in recent quarters; the city ranked No. 2 in appreciation, with a median price increase of 31.3 percent, in the first quarter of 2004.
The latest rankings also show that the big appreciation increases Las Vegans are accustomed to have spread to other markets.
