What is interesting about the illuminations is that it depicts nuns from different orders, and I gather from the news stories that many or all of them are identified.
The Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of Cambridge is presenting a very nice interactive animation on how medieval illuminated manuscripts were made.
The University of Saskatchewan is attempting to digitally reunite 50 medieval manuscripts that were dismembered by a 20th century collector.
