Saskatchewan is (approximately) a quadrilateral bounded on the west by Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east by Manitoba, and on the south by the American states of Montana and North Dakota.
Saskatchewan has the same form of government as the other Canadian provinces with a Lieutenant-Governor (who is the representative of the Crown), premier, and legislature.
Today, the official opposition in the province is the Saskatchewan Party, a new party built since 1997 out of the remains of the Tories and former Liberals and even a few New Democrats frustrated by the NDP's inability to "grow" the economy and population.

Now the members opposite might want these Crowns to act as if they were in a monopoly situation that they were in in the 1970s and the 1960s, but the facts are not thus, Mr.
I think that it'll be determined based on consultation with people who live in that area, who know the area, who know the riverbanks or certainly the banks of that water body, and who have an understanding of their requirements with respect to irrigation and respect to recreational use.

The Indian leaders, with provincial opposition governmental leader, Dave Steuart, addressed the Senators supporting Chief Ahenakew's stand, that the guidelines would be threatening the existing Chief and Council form of government.
The Indian leaders seeking and receiving commitments from the federal Senators, changes should be forthcoming in the federal Department of Indian Affairs preventing the implementation of the guidelines.

In 1992, John O'Neill, an anthropologist from the University of Manitoba, and I traveled to a number of northern Saskatchewan communities as part of a study of how the residents of those communities might perceive their health to be affected by granting operating licenses to three proposed uranium mines.
Comment on the blockade leader: "I'll bet that if I offered [him] a job tomorrow, he'd take it." However, this is unlikely to be put to the test, since the Officer's own position could be in jeopardy if he offered the leader a job.
He is in opposition to uranium mining, arguing, if I can capture the point, that the mines are on lands which the Dene have never given up but which the Crown has pre-empted.

The opposition has been hinting for weeks that it intends to produce some kind of joint declaration on areas where they agree and plan to move on, with or without the Liberals as partners.
It is expected that the opposition parties will work together on standing committees to move certain pieces of legislation that the Liberal government has resisted in the past, such as legislation to expand the Access to Information Act to include Crown corporations and independent foundations.
The opposition is also gearing up to revive the Public Accounts Committee's probe into the sponsorship scandal which was shutdown by last spring's election call.

John Tory might finally become leader of the opposition in the Ontario legislature.

I was flipping through the latest issue of the Alberta Gazette this morning to see if the remarkable order-in-council allowing pharmacists to prescribe drugs independently in the province had been published yet.
It's dismaying to suddenly be presented with technical genius when it comes to the components of success that the Oilers used to get this far: they seem particularly outclassed when it comes to (a) the precise first pass from the defence, (b) formation skating through the neutral zone, and (c) combat along the boards.
