Being in a fantasy baseball league that includes a minor league and NL taxi squad of 17 players, it is helpful to know who the free agents in the NL will be next year.
Most of the men on your list weren't good enough long enough, but I want to plug (Johnny) Sain because he won 20 or more in 4 of the first 5 years after WWII, peaking at 24 in 1948 when his team won the NL pennant.
Unlike the guys in your list, he was not a noted defensive player - my recollection as a far away Giant fan in those days was that he was adequate at best.
