List of Mega Man characters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Japan, the Mega Man series is known as Rockman.
Mega Man's brother and friend, he was created by both Dr. Light and Dr. Wily.
It is revealed at the end of Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters that there is some sort of unknown problem with his body, and that he refuses to get this problem repaired.

The Ultimate Fictional character Dog Breeds Information Guide and Reference
Some 18th and 19th century texts, on the other hand, represent characters' names by the use of a single letter and a long dash (this convention is also used for other proper nouns, such as place names).
Minor characters, or stock characters, are often the focus of this kind of analysis since they tend to rely more heavily on stereotypes than more central characters.
The protagonist (main character, sometimes known as the "hero" or the "heroine") of a novel is certain to be a round character; a minor, supporting character in the same novel may be a flat character.

Mega Man X Collection was released for the GameCube and PlayStation 2 on January 10th, 2006.
Mega Man X3 was the first game in which Zero is a playable character in addition to X.
When selected, the player uses Mega Man X to blast various enemies throughout the level and reach the boss character, where defeating it wins the stage and earns a new weapon for the player to utilize.

IGN: Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun Review
Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun and Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon are, admittedly, entertaining additions to the series established on the GBA platform more than three years ago, but we just can no longer get excited for a new story in the same old environment.
Mega Man Battle Network 4 once again puts players in control of Lan and his virtual pal Mega Man. In the future, everyone who's anyone has their own virtual persona that can tap into the Network world and run around as if it were the real world.
But in Battle Network 4 it looks like the designers were ready to give the heave-ho to the refresher course, since it's far more abridged and quicker paced this time, which means that the game isn't quite as accessible to newbies as the previous sequels were.

Outside of battle, you’ll be able to equip one weapon per person and two sub-weapons, as well as varying numbers of Force Metals (depending on the character) that are similar to accessories or relics in other RPGs.
As a result, a character’s other abilities (Armor, Shield, and Speed) are determined by the weapons he/she has equipped, the level of the character, and any Force Metals they are using that my modify their abilities.

Mega Man, conversely, explores cyberspace, which is Battle Network’s equivalent of an RPG dungeon, although it has a decidedly futuristic theme.
Mega Man and foes move about their assigned squares in real time and attack in real time as well, although Mega Man can only access a certain number of chips at a time.
Mega Man occasionally acquires souls which he can merge with temporarily to gain new abilities, much like he used to do in his action games.

TNL Forum - MegaMan: Battle Chip Challenge
Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge takes place in a network era, where everyone carries a PErsonal Terminal (PET) with a quasi character program known as a Net-Navi, the search is on for the savviest of Net Brawlers.
In Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge, players must strategically gather up to 10 battle chips from the data library to build a program deck that instructs their Net-Navi to perform specialized moves and attacks upon an opponent.
i'm almost damn sick of the network series what with them coming out with part 4 soon, but this game looks cool....espicially the fact that you can use other characters besides mega man. i hope the selection is hefty.

 GAMES - GAME INVASION - Comcast.net
The successful and fun Mega Man Battle Network RPG series strayed heavily from the original Mega Man formula when it was first launched on the Game Boy Advance back in 2001.
Battle Chip Challenge is based around the futuristic, Net-centric Battle Network universe, and features many of the same characters as well as an extension of the plot developed in the RPG.
At the start of any battle, the computer randomly works through the grid and selects which chips will be used for battle, so obviously the first round chips have a fifty-fifty chance of being selected, the second round one in three, and the third one in four.

Funny Game Review - Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS
While Lan and Mega Man have defeated any number of them in the past, the newest group, Nebula, lead by the infamous Dr. Regal (the son of this continuity's Dr. Wily!), is proving particularly troublesome.
Sure, the strategy sections are fairly simplistic (characters always act in a certain order and their only options are to attack or to use their one special move), but trying to figure out the quickest way to finish the battle to earn a swell prize takes some real noodle working.
Hopefully, though, Capcom will really take advantage of the DS hardware for Battle Network 6 and we'll get something that makes us all proud to be playing games about little kids and their collectible trinkets.

Shakespeare, for example, is epitomized for popularizing many archetypal characters, not because he was the first that we know of to write them, but because he defined those roles amongst the backdrop of a complex, social literary landscape.
Thus, the characters stand out as original by contrast, even though many of his characters were based on previously-garnered archetypes (Shakespeare often borrowed from fables, myths and magic to construct and embellish his plays).

Well, it appears that the next Mega Man game for DS won't be Zero 5, but a new entry in the serie.
I was never too interested in the Zero games (because, just like Battle Network (which I actually liked at first), they keep killing the series with too many fucking sequels), and this game ain't doing much to change my mind on the current state of Mega Man games.
The Megaman series is pulling of too many side stories and spin-offs to keep me interested in the games but I'll always love the Megaman Music.

Mega Man X7 The world's foremost videogame robot has been infused with several new elements, but is it enough to recapture the magic of the past?
In 2003 alone, Mega Man has already seen five different videogame incarnations, with several more planned for 2004: including an eight-game anniversary collection, another installment of the Battle Network series, and an RPG spin-off of the X franchise.
The real differences between the original series and the X franchise, however, is that the X titles have always been about storylines, upgrades, and technology.

Capcom has recently released some information on Megaman Battle Network 6, which is slated to release for the Game Boy Advance, which is rather strange since a version of the previous incarnation of the series was produced for the DS.
This will introduce a new cast of characters, and will also apparently be the climax of the Battle Network series, possibly marking the last entry of this spin off on the GBA.
Megaman Battle Network 6 will be shown in a playable demo form at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

When I was introduced to the Mega Man Battle Network series on the GBA, including the one on Gamecube, I was pretty disappointed by the fact that they turned Mega Man and all those other well known robots in the Mega Man universe, into living software (otherwise known as PETs).
Even though they screwed up the look of Mega Man, and turned him into a living computer software (why couldn't they just have the human characters get their own personal robots ?), it's better in Japanese.
