Games : Mega Man & Bass
In classic Mega Man style, players are given a choice of which level they go to next.
Mega Man games borrow heavily from each other and Rockman & Forte was no different, taking four bosses from Mega Man 8: Tengu Man, Astro Man, Dangler and the Gel Monster (aka Green Devil).
Mega Man and Bass can collect special Bolts, which can be used to purchase upgrades between levels.

Mega Man & Bass - Digital Press Online
This game takes a bit of a departure from previous Mega Man games since at first your nemesis is the Robot King, instead of the evil Dr. Wily.
It is much more accurate to say that Mega Man and Bass is challenging, instead of difficult, because once you learn the layout of the levels, and the patterns, the game really loses a lot of its’ difficulty.
Mega Man can charge his buster and slide, while Bass uses a rapid fire gun and has a double jump, also, Bass has the ability to aim his weapon in any direction.

If you've played the Mega Man Zero games, you'll be at an advantage here, but with the normal and hard difficulty settings there are still more than enough challenges that will put your thumb speed and dexterity to the test time and time again.

Mega Man X Collection (cube: 2006): Reviews
If you've got the patience and the drive, Mega Man X Collection is a fun title that challenges your gaming skills and gives you a good history lesson in the process.
Mega Man X Collection follows the same basic formula as Capcom's excellent first Mega Man compilation, but it just doesn't have quite as much to offer.
This game is shallow, meaning there is very miniscul amounts of extra content worth unlocking, and the 7 games included are nothing spectacular, all extremely similar in gameplay and execution.

 GameSpy.com - Review
On the surface, Mega Man Zero plays like most other 2D side-scrolling Mega Man titles (I make the distinction due to the 3D games in the series, and the two recent RPG-like Mega Man Battle Network titles for the GBA, all of which are quite different).
Despite such minor setbacks, the overwhelming characteristic of the game is high-speed action of the fun (and generally not too frustrating) variety.
The music is standard Mega Man fare, which is to say that it sounds like the sort of stuff Mike Rutherford from Genesis would most likely compose were he a reploid from the future with an advanced MIDI sequencer at his disposal.

 Mega Man X Collection (ps2: 2006): Reviews
The original Mega Man X is my second favorite game in the series, though it is easily one of the most carefully polished and well put together games in the series.
Even though the later Mega Man titles are not as good as the first few, it is still a very incredible collection of Mega Man X games in one nice little package.
You have to be a huge Mega Man nut if you want to get these games--especially since many of them are newer than the games released in the original Mega Man collection, meaning that all-important element of nostalgia just isn't quite there.

The PC version of Mega Man X3 shows how a port to a more powerful system should be made: the original graphics and controls have been kept, while the music was fully remixed and new video cutscenes were added to replace some of the older static sequences.
Mega Man X4 had a direct port to the computer with close to no changes: the graphics, music and gameplay are all identical to the original Playstation version.
The full game feels very much like a native PC game instead of the Playstation 2 port that it really is. The Japanese version happens to include both Japanese and English modes, the latter turning the game in the whole "Mega Man" experience (voices and text included).

Mega Man X is an action-platformer that is inherently similar to the Mega Man Classic titles that predate it.
Overall, Mega Man X is a big step up in design from the Classic games, and it serves up a much darker theme of the future than the Classic series games ever did.
Impacting not only the future of Mega Man, but the future of side-scrolling action games, the leap into a less happy and traditional mode of storytelling and action sequences made the game a hit and a memory to many hardcore Mega Man fans and casual gamer alike.

 Mega Man 2
Playing through Mega Man 2 for the first time was one of the finest NES experiences for me. Before I actually gave it a try, I never really saw why NES fans like this game so much.
Some highlights are: Crash Man's stage theme, which will probably make you want to get up and dance, and the first stage of Wily's Castle, which is probably one of the best compositions in any NES game.
One aspect of the game that sets it apart from the other installments is the new difficulty feature.

While I do not consider him what of the toughest bosses in the game, I do believe that he is a tough cookie to go about, given that his speed is just as fast as Mega Man's, and his weapons are around the same in strength.
As I mentioned before, whatever weapon you decide to use, Cloned Mega Man will also use that weapon, and since both of you two have the same weaknesses, this is a double edged sword here.
The worst thing about the Cloned Mega Man is not his reflective weapons that he enjoys using on you, nor is it the fact that he hops around and dodges all of your weapons' shots.

Wii launch window: 32 Wii games, 30 VC games - Joystiq
Nintendo has blasted out a list confirming the 32 Wii and 30 Virtual Console games (spanning five consoles) that will be available in the five weeks between the system's November 19th launch and the end of 2006.
We're not sure exactly which games may not make that November 19th launch date, but it seems reasonable to presume the VC games will be there on launch day, previously dated titles like Zelda, and the 530 GameCube titles they're eager to remind us will work from the get go.
It came out for the Xbox 360 in March, was confirmed by Ubisoft to be a launch window game in August, was again confirmed by Nintendo to be a launch title in September, and now it's evidently missing.
