NBC News got the first interview from two Russian presidents (Putin, Gorbachev) and was the only American eye-witness of the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

NBC's first color broadcasts showed only a still frame of the colorful peacock, but in 1957 on Your Hit Parade the peacock was gloriously animated, and thereafter appeared at the beginning of every NBC color broadcast until a revamped animation appeared in the 1960s.
NBC was briefly sued by the Nebraska ETV Network, as it was using a similar logo.
