Washington Crossing State Park is an 841 acre (3.4 km²) state park in the U.S. state of New Jersey.
This is where General George Washington and a 2,400 man detachment of Continental Army troops crossed the river in the early morning hours of December 25, 1776, in order to make a surprise attack on Trenton, a move that would prove to be a turning point in the first year of the American Revolutionary War.
Washington Crossing Historic Park is a museum complex located on the Pennsylvania side of the river, in the town of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania.
