Verdens Gang, commonly known as VG, is Norway's largest newspaper with a circulation of 365 000 copies in 2004.
The newspaper was started by members of the resistance movement shortly after the country was liberated from German occupation in 1945.
VG is today owned by the media conglomerate Schibsted that also owns Aftenposten in addition to shares in most of the larger Norwegian regional papers.
