The Prime Minister may also be a Representative at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
The Constitution of the RP safeguards a stable rule of parliamentary majority, so the dismissal of the Prime Minister from his post before the end of the term of the Sejm is complicated and difficult to achieve.
The Prime Minister dissolves the Council of Ministers at the first session of the newly elected Sejm, as well as in the case of: failure to pass by the Sejm of the vote of confidence for the Council of Ministers, passing of the vote of no confidence, or resignation for any other reasons.

Józef Oleksy (born 22 June, 1946 in Nowy Sącz) is a Polish politician, chairman of Democratic Left Alliance (Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej).
Between April 21 2004 and January 5 2005 he was the speaker (marszałek) of the Sejm, lower house of Polish parliament.
He is also a former minister of internal affairs, and was the Prime Minister of Poland from 1995 until 1996, when he resigned.
