Although often thought of as a jellyfish the Portuguese Man-of-War is actually a colony of polyps with specialised functions and the floats are filled with Argon and Nitrogen gas.
These creatures are very dangerous to bathers and the sting is said to be 65% more venomous than that of the cobra.
The Paper, Canarian Weekly and The Western Sun all confirmed with me yesterday that they will be publishing news on this and I sent to several others including Tenerife News the paper I have been writing for.

 Ilhas da Ria de Aveiro
By early 1993 we both read about the Portuguese Islands Award DIP and asked for a list of qualifying Islands (have a look at the list below), for our surprise 17 of them were in the nearby Aveiro Lagoon Natural Haff-Delta.
In the photo you can see the Amoroso Island Base and the dipole antennas hanging in the top of only house there.
