The QEW was designed partially as a four-lane divided highway with a three to ten foot median strip, with the remaining less-travelled stretches as undivided highway.
In this era of highway downloading which has seen all of the Gardiner Expwy (Former Hwy 2) and a part of the QEW given over to the City of Toronto, it seems that the Don Valley will remain in city hands and Hwy 404 will most definitely not be extended southward.
The portion of the highway south of Airport Rd is maintained by the Airport Authority and not the MTO.

The major ports of Quebec City, Montreal and Trois-Rivieres were almost completely shut down for 48 hours by port workers blocking shipments to and from the province's manufacturers.
Riot squads of the provincial police were called in to clear some of the highways overnight but met stiff resistance from workers.
Quebec workers fought for decades to win affordable day care for children and they are not about to give it up.

 Which side of the road do they drive on?
When the English won control of Quebec from France, the French people living there were permitted to retain many customs, including their language, religion, civil law, and evidently the custom of driving on the right.
The original source of the list is unknown to me, but it has been updated over the years thanks to the contributions of many Internet users who have visited these countries and reported what they saw.
The book doesn't define what a "highway" is, or how many city streets or private roads are excluded from the totals, but I figure this is accurate a source of data as I am likely to find, and that the overall right/left distribution for non-highways is probably close to the distribution for highways.
