This is an attempted alphabetical List of Roman laws.
The name of the law is usually the gens of the legislator, declined on the female form (because in Latin law - lex, plural leges - is a word with female gender).
When a law is the initiative of the two consuls, is given the name of the two, with the senior consul gens signalled first.

 Lex Aquilia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lex Aquilia was a Roman law that was possibly passed in 286 BC, or at some other point in the 3rd century BC.
It was concerned with damage done from damnum iniuria datum, "unjust done damage", a kind of a tort law (albeit with differences from tort as known in modern common law systems).

From the Law of the Twelve Tables, the first Roman code of law developed during the early republic, the Roman legal system was characterized by a formalism that lasted for more than 1,000 years.
The basis for Roman law was the idea that the exact form, not the intention, of words or of actions produced legal consequences.
The Romans never had a written constitution, but their form of their government, especially from the time of the passage of the lex Hortensia (287 B.C.), roughly parallels the modern American division of executive, legislative, and judicial branches, although the senate doesn't neatly fit any of these categories.

Roman law as preserved in the codes of Justinian and in the Basilika remained the basis of legal practice in Greece and in the courts of the Orthodox Church even after the fall of the Byzantine empire and the conquest by the Turks.
Later, the fact that Roman law was associated with the Holy Roman Empire, the Roman Catholic Church and with absolutism made Roman law unacceptable in England.

I agree with lists (I made List of Roman laws and worked in List of Roman legions with Stan, for instance), but some are hilarious and take credibility from the wikipedia.
But lists and other almanac-like articles by themselves are very necessary; such as en:List of elements by name or en:List of countries by population.
Trivia lists and topics (aka lists important to some people and not important to other, as mav puts it) deserve their own space, and the wikipedia deserves to be free of them.
