Royal standards are supplied in the same breadths as ensigns, the 16 and 4 breadths being especially used for Royal yachts.
Royal yachts and flagships are supplied with a 12 breadth jack, as well as the foregoing.
Ships' pendants range from 14 yards to 3 yards, those above 6 yards in length are made 4 inches at the masthead, remainder 2 ½ inches at the masthead.

The majority of the ships building were being built in the southern English counties, in the neighbourhood of the large oak forests and near the chief naval ports.
The line-of-battle ship was the sole instrument for obtaining the command of the seas, and on the whole the 74 gun ship was generally accepted as the best investment of naval expenditure, the tactics proper to such vessels having been worked out in many an action.
The large tumble-home given to the ships was adopted mainly with the object of obtaining greater strength against transverse racking strains and facilitating the obtaining of suitable timber for the upper beam knees.

 World Battleships List: Royal Navy Dreadnoughts
Most ships were little modified during WWI, and the majority of the older vessels were discarded under the Washington Treaty.
To depot ship 1939 with all main guns removed, badly damaged by bombs 17 Oct 1939, but she was repaired.
All ships of the class were scheduled to be refitted to this standard, but the outbreak of war prevented it.

 H.M.S. Falcon - Royal Navy Gunboats in China and the Far East
The Royal Navy in China 1834-1997 is a new site (still under construction) which already has up a huge number of shots of Royal Navy vessels that served in China (they appear to be down right now due to reorganization and I sincerely hope they reappear as they have an amazing library of photographs).
The ship is currently upside-down in about 100 feet of water, but her deck is accessible due to a void that exists under the ship (Geoff, with his diving team, originally had to tunnel under the wreck to reach the deck and hatches).
HMS Sandpiper was shipped from Britain and re-assembled at the Kiangwan Dock in Shanghai in 1933.

Royal Navy depot ships for destroyers and submarines and fleet repair ships including HMS Medway, HMS Vulcan, HMS Forth, HMS Thames, HMS Bonaventure, HMS Arrogant, HMS Blenheim and HMS Diligence.
Built as a depot Ship for Submarines and designed to tend 18 submarines of the O and P class's this number rising to 21 during world war two.
All on navy list, July 1924, enlisted on Sandhurst from 31st March 1924, except Sweetman listed as on Diligence.

Several no longer appear on easily checked lists for the country indicated in the NVR custodian information and are presumed scrapped, sold or otherwise disposed of by their secondary owners.
A note is made that "She does not belong to the Royal Norwegian Navy, but is a Defense project." The photo shows a classic north Atlantic trawler type vessel with a whale back bow.
It appears that the little ships of the Conrad class are being replaced in their second life worldwide by the more recent first generation AGOS Ocean Surveillance Ship class.
