Some of the governors listed are the actual leaders of the states, others are official representatives of the central power with no executive roles.
She was ousted as Governor by a vote of no confidence but retained her position as MP, but later the High Court apparently reinstalled her as governor, but it was not effectuated.

At the time his title was prince de Guéméné, but as VLB didn’t record her list until decades later, she might have chosen to record him by the title prince de Rohan, which he inherited in 1788.
VLB only listed one painting of the sitter, but the pose of the sitter is very similar between this painting and the one in Stockholm.
VLB also lists a "Mme la Comtesse de Virieux" for 1779, where the portrait is of an older sitter.
