The downward trend of foreign ownership of enterprises noted on the Swedish market was broken during the second half of 2003, and has continued to develop positively during the first half of 2004.
The upward trend turned for the non-financial enterprise sector and their share of total ownership of companies listed on Swedish marketplaces decreased by 1.2 percentage points to 8.0 per cent.
The share of government ownership in companies listed on Swedish marketplaces has fallen by 0.9 percentage points, and amounted to 4.6 per cent of total ownership on 30 June 2004 On 30 June 2004, government-owned shares amounted to SEK 119 billion.
