All of these early TV systems shared the same aspect ratio of 4:3 which was chosen to match the Academy Ratio used in cinema films at the time.
In many cases other companies, TV stations or individuals are engaged to do the syndication work, in other words to sell the product into the markets they are allowed to sell into by contract from the copyright holders, in most cases the producers.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 15: The Indian government’s claim that PTV was on their approved list of TV channels seems contradictory after an issuance of a list in the Lok Sabha, which did not include any Pakistani channel.
The PTV was missing in the list issued in response to a question raised in the Indian Parliament about the number of either free-to-air or pay channels made available to the consumers through cable.
The list provided in the Parliament consisted of 120 free-to-air and pay channels, including channels of Doordarshan, but the PTV was missing in the list.

Analysis by media monitoring agency Tam says the India Shining advertisement is the second most frequently telecast brand on television between December 2003 and January 2004 with the ad being aired 9,472 times.
However, the India Shining ads bought more time as the ads were longer in duration than the All Out ones -- around 80 per cent of the ads were of 60-second duration.
