 United States: Just the facts...
The House has 435 members called representatives or congressmen and congresswomen, whom are elected by the people of a congressional district (A territorial division of a state; entitled to elect one member to the United States House of Representatives) to represent that district for a term of two years.
All the figures shown are for the population within the city limits (The limits of the area occupied by a city or town), which is the main usage of the word "city" in the United States.
The number of districts for each state depends on the size of the population of the state, and each state has at least one representative.
