	West Virginia
		US-WV West Virginia is a state of the United States, known as The Mountain State, and is considered part of the South.
		Upon the outbreak of the American Civil War and the seccession of Virginia from the union, the western counties of the state in turn seceded from Virginia on April 27, 1861.
		It is bordered by Pennsylvania and Maryland to the north, by Ohio and Kentucky to the west, and by Virginia to the east.

	FEMA: Kanawha And Raleigh Counties Eligible For Disaster Aid
		P>Beckley, WV -- Kanawha and Raleigh counties have been added to the list of West Virginia counties eligible for federal disaster assistance following severe storms, flooding and landslides that devastated the state between May 2 and May 20.
		Steve Kappa, director of the West Virginia Office of Emergency Services, explained that those needing disaster assistance should begin the disaster recovery process as soon as possible.
		The addition of Kanawha and Raleigh counties brings to six the number of West Virginia counties eligible for the individual-assistance programs.
