Players and doubles pairs are admitted to the main events on the basis of their international rankings, with consideration also given to their previous performances at grasscourt events.
Currently (since 2001) 32 male and female players are given seedings in the Gentlemen's and Ladies' singles while 16 teams are seeded in the doubles events.
The Committee of Management and the Referee evaluate all applications for entry, and determine which players may be admitted to the tournament directly.
Fans are handed vouchers when they arrive in their queue with a number on it and the following morning when the line moves towards the Grounds, stewards come through the line and hand out wristbands that are colour coded to the specific court.

Victory in either the Ladies' or Mixed doubles would have seen King's long-standing mark eclipsed, but Navratilova was beaten in the semi-finals of the Ladies' event and the quarters of the Mixed.
She then reached the singles semi-finals of the US Championships in 1931 and 1935, won the ladies doubles at Wimbledon in 1931 and was a runner up in 1937.

Now i'm not saying stop doubles, not at all, what i am saying is that the players are playing far too many matches/tournaments at the moment and the injury crisis which has swept the WTA needs to be addressed.
Doubles is good but come on it's singles which it the main one.
Mixed doubles is always fun to play too, but as a guy, hehe your always sweating because the pressure is on for u to hold your serve, especially when u serve a big one down the middle but the girl gets hold of it and smacks it pass u for a winner
