After Onslaught the thing was a bit clearer for a while, since a team of X-Men was abducted by the SHi'ar to battle the Phalanx (in Uncanny), this X-Men were Rogue, Beast, Bishop, Gambit, Joseph and Trish Tilby (not really and X-Man but she was there), aided by Deathbird.
After the X-Cutioner's song saga the teams shuffled their members a bit, having Colossus and Iceman join the Blue team and Rogue and Gambit remaining at the mansion (though Gambit did join the Gold team for a mission or two).

My current teams are Springfield Soccer Club and the Springfield Strikers (PDL) teams, but I think the best name I've ever heard of was a men's team in the over-30 league here.
The other team I play in sometimes is called "Corinthians", because it was founded by a Brazilian exchange student who just happened to be a Corinthians fans from Sao Paulo.
We really couldn't think of anything better so I just wrote that down on the piece of paper and told the woman who does the team applications forms that I'd think of something better and change it then...
