The Marine Corps is part of the United States Navy, however the Commandant of the Marine Corps, the highest ranking officer and representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, does report to the Secretary of the Navy, but does not report to the Chief of Naval Operations.
An American marine corps was first established during the American Revolutionary War, when on November 10, 1775 the Continental Congress passed a resolution creating the Continental Marines to serve as landing troops for the recently created Continental Navy.

Overall, the script is extremely creative and for the better part of the movie, the suspense/action factors are there; where this movie falls somewhat flat on its face is the ending and the extraordinarily odd turn for the alien queen.
The cast of supporting actors is pretty impressive as well, from Winona Ryder to Ron Perlman, this movie has the talent that, for the better part, overcomes the ending of the movie.
What follows from there is a good movie where Ripley, the space pirate crew and some of the remaining military personnel go through the motions of trying to stay alive long enough to get off the ship that is now full of aliens who are on the loose.

That meant I was finally able to play through the entire thing at the correct pace, fighting bad guys where I was supposed to, watching the dramatic cinematics when I was supposed to, and getting a true feel for the length of the game.
Because I've been playing the levels out of order, I had entirely the wrong idea about the pace, and instead of doing my normal crap - that is, playing the bits that the job requires me to in an order that isn't always best suited to the narrative.

The movie had some very funny lines and a few very funny characters and some beautiful dogs but the movie itself was a loser.
I know the plane goes down at one point but people are not fools, they know that all the companies at one point or another have planes going down, so I suppose this is why they accepted that their names would be associated to the film.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of Kathie's acting career has been the type of roles in which she was cast, especially given the fact actresses in the 1960's had extremely little opportunity to move beyond the brainless, fluff stereotypes demanded of female characters.

Carradine plays a blindman that helps this dude through all these different trials where he has to fight different poeple and even monkeys in order to get to a certain man that has a certain book thats supose to have all the answers in it.
Irony of irony, the dude who he fights in GPB is Benny The Jet Urquidez who happens to be the baddie in my choice for the best ever fight in film.

Fairuza Balk played the "evil" Nancy in this movie..which was a bit of a shock for me since I knew her as innocent little Dorothy from "Return To Oz"..yikes!
But honestly, this movie kinda freaked me out, and even more after I read the prequel..and this coming from a gal who saw The Shining at age six and loved every second of it.
Wayne's World isn't really a great movie, but merits a mention cause it pays homage to the early 90s slacker culture.
