Some aircraft have "front end" calls (the flight crew) and "back end" calls (the staff operating at the positions in the back).
It was always made very clear that no such list, and certainly not this one, could ever be considered as anything even close to a current snapshot of US military call usage, as such a snapshot is old before it hits the net.
Similarly, most utility lists continue to show "Miami Monitor" on HF, despite the fact (which was originally published in my old RCMA column) that the National Hurricane Center (itself now the TPC) never even bothered to uncrate the HF radios when it moved, and now has only amateur presence there (W4EHW - Early Hurricane Warning).

Initially, they were equipped with four Macchis, growing to five aircraft in 1974 and seven in 1981 before cost-cutting saw the team reduced to five again in 1982.
The RAAF has since adopted this scheme for all its PC-9 trainers, which allows an aircraft to be swapped into or out of the team to equalise fleet airframe hours by just painting or painting out the large "R" symbol on the tail.

USAAS-USAAC-USAAF-USAF Aircraft Serial Numbers--1908 to Present
Aircraft that are only temporarily transferred to the USAF from the Navy usually retain their Navy serial numbers even though painted in USAF markings, but it sometimes happens that aircraft loaned by the Navy are assigned brand-new USAF serials.
Since military aircraft were at that time not expected to last more than ten years, the first digit of the fiscal year number was omitted in the tail number as was the AC prefix and the hyphen.
In order to avoid confusion with later aircraft given the same tail number, these older aircraft had the prefix 0 and a dash added in front of the tail number to indicate that they were over 10 years old.
