What is covered in these lists: You will notice many codes that represent entities other than airports; some of the codes represent cities, or railway stations, or hovercraft terminals, and there are even some pseudo-codes for limousine services and for railway company zone management, as well as several fictitious codes for airline use.
These are all legitimate travel codes, recognized by one or more of the code-assigning authorities (ICAO, IATA), and so I thought it better to include them rather than to try to figure out which ones to omit.
