The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), managers of the Toronto Pearson International Airport, turned to Cisco Systems to develop a comprehensive, end-to-end Internet protocol (IP) network to serve as the infrastructure for all the communications systems throughout its new, $4.4 billion terminal, which will open this April.
The new communications infrastructure allows the airport, airlines and other tenants to far more easily move and reconfigure their booths, passenger processing gates, and other operations, helping the airport more cost-effectively accommodate the wide-ranging needs of its tenants.
Toronto joins a distinguished list of airports that have turned to Cisco to improve their communications infrastructures.

Spitaliere of the FAA says adding safety areas at some runways is still extremely difficult because of a lack of real estate or because of environmental concerns.

Questions regarding what / where to eat at airports typically don't get great response on area boards as people don't spend much time at their local terminals.
particularly since that seems to be a trend for airports to start out-sourcing their amenities and people have to get to the airport earlier and earlier these days.
I'd love to get tips on where to get something like that again before a trip, rather than settling for some $8 doughy bagel with cheap cream cheese or fast food that was going to sit in my belly like lead.
