 Fighting Animal Rights
Animal rights activists profess to care about animals when in reality their major concern is raising money while manipulating the public into their agenda, often times unknowingly.
Thus comes along the theory of "animal rights." Guardians could be sued on behalf of their animals because the animal did not "want" to be bred; did not "want" to obey, perform, participate in research or be used as a food source.
Animal welfare means the rancher or farmer who's livelihood depends on his animals can educate himself on raising the healthiest animal possible in an environment that is beneficial to him and his product.

Animal rights, or animal liberation, is the movement to protect animals from being used or regarded as property by human beings.
Animal rights is the concept that all or some animals are entitled to possess their own lives; that animals are deserving of, or already possess, certain moral rights; and that some basic rights for animals ought to be enshrined in law.
The argument made by critics of animal rights is that a focus on the rights of animals is consistent with a disregard for the rights of humans, because the idea of human rights is premised to a certain extent on the concept of the uniqueness of human beings.

PETA Media Center > Factsheets > Animal Ingredients and Their Alternatives
Adding to the confusion over whether or not an ingredient is of animal origin is the fact that many companies have removed the word “animal” from their ingredient labels to avoid putting off consumers.
Animal ingredients are used not because they are better than vegetable-derived or synthetic ingredients, but because they are generally cheaper.
Animal ingredients come from every industry that uses animals: meat, fur, wool, dairy, egg, and fishing, as well as industries such as horse racing and rodeo, which send unwanted animals to slaughter.
