The appearance figures are a 'best approximation' based on players years of service to the club multiplied by the average number of games per season (16 for Premier and 14 for Social) with the assumption that the player has been available to play in that average number of games each season.
The early history of football in Johnsonville is a bit sketchy, the club has a photo of a Johnsonville team in 1908, it appears that there was a club in Johnsonville until the 1920's.

Football was again suspended due to World War II, (however they did reach the war cup final losing to Brentford at Wembley) meaning Pompey hold the dubious distinction of holding the FA Cup for the longest period as the trophy wasn't contested again until the 1945/46 season!
Such changes have led to Pompey being seen by many as an unkown quantity in the Premiership for the 05/06 season, and it seems that this will be an unpredictable season for Portsmouth, both on and off the pitch.
If the departure of Director of Football Velimir Zajec (due to personal reasons) at such an early stage of the season is anything to go by then that belief may well be true.

Overall it was a great day for the NSW Police Rugby League Football Association with family and friends, football legend Jack Gibson, representatives from the NSW Rugby League, in form referee Bill Harrigan, sponsors and senior police supporting the day.
