Gov't Mule is a southern rock/jam band formed in 1994 as an Allman Brothers Band side project, but has taken on a life of its own.
When the Allman Brothers Band reformed in 1989 in response to the popularity of the Dreams box set, Warren Haynes was added on lead guitar and Allen Woody was added on bass.
The band exposed some of their roots with covers of Neil Young, Free, Traffic, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, and Mongo Santamaria (via John Coltrane).

most bands don't allow taping of their shows, which, in my opinion, limits their possibilities of increasing their popularity and fan base, especially people who put on great live shows.
I feel so strongly about my opinion on all this being correct that if Tori and her "people" continue to not allow taping, they are just burying their heads in the sand and being naive about the whole issue.
and pearl jam may have released their boots, but they werent the ones i wanted, and it is impossible to officially release every show.

Although she may not be perfect at informing the venues of her new taping policy, it appears that she has been warming up to taping as of late; on her fan mailing list she and her management have apparently distributed "official" live recordings in addition to allowing fan recordings.

If a friend of yours saw a band and noticed a change in their taping policy, please ask that friend to submit the information first hand.
If soundboard access is not listed for a band, you should assume that their policy is to disallow it, even if they occasionally do allow it.
