Some people may develop a scheme where they have one or more of these be their primary way of identifying people - their "key traits" - with the others applied as needed to assist.
A face blind person may recognize all of his neighbors on his block, for example, because he only expects to find about a dozen people there, and he can figure out which of those dozen someone is. The face blind guy may be able to sort out his twenty-five co-workers in the office.
Not only does a face blind person not want to look like the people described in the previous item for self-esteem reasons, but also, he will come to strongly feel that he is unable to deliver emotional messages with his face, when, day after day, he looks like that in the mirror.

The American Foundation for the Blind have a page of Photographs of Helen Keller and her Biography which is basically an index page.
Some people have had problems with this server, and it is optimised for using a web browser and an e-mail program together, but it can be used by just e-mail alone.
The WWW FAQ also has a list of browsers that can be accessed by telnet(UK copy), but it seems to have been a while since this was updated.

 Guide Horse Training - Train Blind guide
Nine other horses are currently undergoing training, and the Guide Horse Foundation also has a substantial waiting list of blind people who have applied for a Guide Horse.
Once the Guide Horse Foundation announced the result of their feasibility study, the ability of horses to guide the blind was confirmed from a number of independent sources.

Here are some guidelines to help get the information to us and listed ASAP (especially the Urgent Need listings).
It has been very frustrating to have people email us that they have inquired about a dog(s) that has already been placed...but is still listed on the blinddogs site.
