Quebec's new premier, Jean Charest, met with Cree chief Ted Moses and committed to resolving disputes between the Crees and Quebec, according to a story in today's Montreal Gazette.
Quebec, Canada and the Crees have agreed to the terms for the environmental assessment of the Rupert River diversion.

The area is also known as Nunavik, though I think the latter term refers to all lands inhabited by Quebec's Inuit (some live in the James Bay area that is mainly a Cree-populated area).

At the ACGS Library in Manchester, NH there is a partial, indexed list of these missionaries, both from the U.S and Quebec, who regularly visited VT French settlements in the first half of the 19th Century for the purpose of saying Mass and administering sacraments.
A case in point is the fabled Rev. Pierre-Marie MIGNAULT of St. Joseph parish in Chambly, Quebec who made regular missionary trips to both sides of Lake Champlain from 1815 to about 1852 yet no record can be found of the sacraments that he administered.
Quebec marriages can usually be found in the blue Drouin volumes or the Loiselle Index.

Rather than Knowlton being classified alongside other Township settlements cited like North Hately and Georgeville (Estrie), Knowlton is put in Montérégie, in the same region of the town of Dewitville, which lies about 50km south-west of Montreal (not part of the Eastern Townships by any definition).
Ernest Taylor (1846-1941) was an Anglican Clergyman in Knowlton, Quebec.
