 Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan was recognized almost immediately by most nations, including the United States, whose secretary of state, James Baker, made an official visit in January 1992.
Two opposition parties (the Party of the Democratic Movement of Kyrgyzstan (PDMK) and the Ar-Namys party) had formed a bloc to contest the elections, but a Bishkek court ruled that the congress convened in early January by the PDMK to select the party's candidates was illegal.
The population is composed of 58% of Kyrgyzs,18% of Russians, 14% of Uzbeks, 1.5% of Tatars, 1% of Germans, etc… A new census was organised in Kyrgyzstan from 24 March to 1 April 1999.

The city should be geogrpahically like Balykchy, near a body of water at least, and has faced the same problems in the past, unemployment and is surronded by cities which have more resources to bring tourists in.
But the sister city should have been able to overcome these difficulties and is now poised to help Balykchy do the same.
