	Cathedral - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		One of the earliest instances of the term ecclesia cathedralis is said to occur in the acts of the council of Tarragona in 516.
		Originally the bishop and cathedral clergy formed a kind of religious community, which, in no true sense a monastery, was nevertheless often called a monasterium.
		In these early communities the clergy often lived apart in their own dwellings, and were not infrequently married.

		Chapter 62 lays down that precedence in the community shall be determined by the date of admission, merit of life, or the appointment of the abbot.
