Clanton, AL -- Fayette County has been added to the list of Alabama counties eligible for federal disaster assistance following high winds and severe storms that raked the northern part of the state on February 16th, federal and state disaster recovery officials announced today.
The Public Assistance designation means that the county may be reimbursed for storm-related infrastructure costs including: hazardous debris removal, emergency protective services such as barricading roads and overtime for police and fire personnel, and to repair or replace storm-damaged public facilities.
The addition of Covington County brings to six the number of Alabama counties eligible for federal and state disaster recovery programs authorized as a result of a major disaster declaration issued by President Bush on March 5th following a request by Gov. Bill Sielegman.

I've added little maps to all the California counties with an overview of the state, with that county highlighted; this gives a nice sense of general placement.
One way to do this, and allow for a variable list of state symbols (which I think would be better than listing all conceivable state symbols with N/A for many of them), is to use a WP:TOL taxobox-style set of templates.
Like Kansas, Missouri lists both English and metric for area, etc. The existing table also lists the largest metro area in addition to largest city (I suspect since they're different) and has that weirdness with the motto (motto rather than nickname, and with a footnote!).

FCO Szczech said the counties were added to the list of eligible jurisdictions based on a continuing assessment of damage data gathered by federal and state disaster recovery officials.
