Julien’s bitchin’ cause Montrealers aren’t talking up their projects, I think, or because we don’t have a more “official” community of geeks.
We do gain from growing the community for lots of reasons - find partners to work on stuff, brainstorm ideas, network (who knows who I know or someone knows that might be of value to someone else), etc.
Closer-knit communities benefit because they help each other out more than we do right now as Montrealers.
