However, it was evident from the statements of the two foreign ministers at their joint press conference that the two-day meeting could not achieve much that could be called substantial and that the two did not find it possible to signify an unqualified agreement on any of the items of their agenda.
Thus, the foreign ministers' decision to continue with the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC), despite their differing perceptions of the Kashmir issue is encouraging.

Of course, the cabinet and the overall council of ministers which total 66 is not the handiwork of Shaukat Aziz.
He wants the ministers of state to prepare a brief and focused agenda for achievements of targets for 100 days, which would be discussed in the cabinet meetings.
If such accommodation is not forthcoming, he should be able to drop some of the ministers instead of merely changing their portfolios, as has been done with the former ministers who have rejoined the new setup.

On counterterrorism, in response to the leaders' request on September 19, we will be discussing the foreign ministers reply and we hope to issue what we're calling a progress report on our efforts, which I think you'll find interesting as to the various countries are co-ordinating and what measures have been taken.
But I didn't put it at the top of the list because we're very encouraged by the recent signs of deescalating tensions, but we are also conscious of the need to keep pressure on both parties to ensure discussions to make sure that no new problems arise.
I know that from our foreign minister's perspective, he's anxious to see this conference go forward and go forward sooner than later, but we'll have to see whether or not a consensus among the others on this.

During the second half of 2004, Rita Ilisson conducted a research project entitled, “Implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by Listed Companies in the Three Baltic Republics.” The research project was co-financed by a PFS Program Grant.
On May 20, 2004 the PFS Program, in cooperation with the Accounting Institute of Lithuania and the National Stock Exchange of Lithuania, conducted a seminar on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

KHOST, Afghanistan, Dec. 8, 2004 — Coalition representatives provided responses to a list of 15 "responsibilities of government and foreign relatives" during a mullah conference Dec. 6 at Khost University.
The list was signed by several mullahs from Khost Province and was presented to Coalition representatives at a similar conference in Khost last month.
Among other things, the list called for the Coalition to respect Afghans' national, cultural and religious values and customs; end night raids on homes; and carefully scrutinize information from informants to ensure it was not given as a means of retaliation to settle a grudge.
