  Furry fandom Information
Furry fandom is an artistic and literary genre that celebrates the humanization of animals, specifically in cartoons and comics.
Many are created by furry fans and, as such, may be referred to as "furry comics." Titles such as Kevin and Kell are created by cartoonists outside of the fandom, and thus may be referred to as traditional funny animal comics.
Some other communities, such as the "were" or "therian" communities, share similar beliefs with furry lifestylers but wish to distance themselves from the term “furry,” as they are not necessarily interested in furry fandom or do not wish to have their beliefs trivialized by association with a "cartoon" fandom.

Conversely, a furry can be thought of as a humanoid with animal- like traits and attributes (animal face, fur/scales/feathers, often appropriate tails, wings, claws, etc.), still possessing a human personality, though quite often with "quirks" hinting at the animal upon which the character is based.
Typically furry characters are "just for fun" and the person may have no knowledge or interest whatsoever in furryness, or being a part of the furry realm, which consists of the next two levels of furriness.
Being a Furry: Being a Furry means taking a Furry Persona and extending to the point where one actually believes he/she is some other species, and/or, that they are connected in some way to a specific species of animal spiritually, believing that inside, he/she is not human and has an animal heart and spirit.
