Reference.com/Encyclopedia/List of incomplete Doctor Who serials
This is a list of Doctor Who serials that no longer exist in any complete form in the BBC archives.
They are incomplete due to the BBC's former policy of holding only a limited archive of episodes, and wiping tapes belonging to shows that they didn't see a potential future market in.
However, three of these incomplete serials (Doctor Who and the Silurians, The Dæmons, and Terror of the Autons) were processed to merge the fl and white film with off-air colour recordings by the Doctor Who Restoration Team for subsequent video release.

Doctor Who was ranked third in a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes of the 20th century, produced by the British Film Institute in 2000 and voted on by industry professionals.
Produced by BBC Wales in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), the 2005 series has concluded in the United Kingdom, and the programme will be returning for a Christmas special later in the year, followed by a second and third series (including a second Christmas special in 2006).
Series 1 consisted of thirteen 45-minute self-contained episodes (60 minutes with commercials in Canada), with three two-parters and a loose story arc whose elements were brought together in the season finale.

Leela is my favorite of The Doctor's companions, and her role in this episode is pivotal to the plot rather than just penciled in to give The Doctor someone to explain things to.

Doctor Who: The Invasion & The Reign of Terror - Shiny Shelf
Sound guru and radiophonic workshop historian Mark Ayres (who composed music for three of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories back in the 80s) has been the man charged with removing the clicks, pops, print-through and background noise (up to and including vehicles passing the houses were the programme was being watched) from the tapes.
It’s understandable that serials such as these should be left virtually to the death (and ‘The Invasion’ was previously available as part of late 2003’s Limited Edition ‘Cybermen’ tin, anyway).
However, tarring it as starring the series second most famous monsters doesn’t really do it justice — they don’t feature in four of the serial’s eight episodes for a start and their presence is obliquely hinted at more than heavily implied during those first 100 minutes.

 Doctor Who Video FAQ
The most common serial length was 4 such episodes, with 6-parters also being heavily used in the first half of the series' life with some other odd lengths mixed in here and there.
true format the series should be seen in, because the episodes were plotted and paced with only 25-minute installments in mind, and because the cliffhangers themselves sometimes have differences between what's shown at the end of one episode versus the beginning of the next, with altered shots and changes made to the music.
Doctor Who never aired this special or only showed it once as it is "outside" the series and had to be purchased separately and rather expensively.

The renumbering had led to speculation as to whether the "new series" was in fact not connected to the 1963–89 series; Russell T. Davies, executive producer of the revival, stated explicitly that it is a continuation, and several episodes contain references to the older show.
The back-story for the spin-off series Torchwood is "seeded" in various episodes in the 2006 series.

The biggest tragedy of Doctor Who surely must be the loss of all of the missing episodes.
It should be said that this video is really for people who either remember the original broadcasts, and concealed themselves under blankets to avoid detection by the fearsome Yeti, or those die-hard collectors who simply *must have* every surviving piece of the series.

The tale of the story titles is a rather complicated one, especially in the case of the first 25 serials.
When compiling this list it was discovered that the first 25 serials of Doctor Who had featured no on-screen story titles, only the episode titles, which were unique for each episode.
