The song appeared in a total of seven MGM musicals, including an Academy Award-winner and a movie in which it was the title song.
His report includes a version of the song as sung by Frank Profit Jr., whose great-grandmother witnessed the hanging of Tom Dooley when she was a child in the town of Statesville.
Improvised on stage one night while on tour in 1959, the song is still played as an encore by Charles for most of his concerts and he considers it his trademark song.

Well as for me, my top ten list is comprised of singles from albums I've purchased throughout this past year--mind you, not all of these songs came out in 2004.
The two you referenced are, of course, based off of R and B and easy rock songs, but they're just performed this time around by jazz artists.
The only song I remember from any of these lists is "99 Problems", which DID rule.

Published by a University press obviously trying to hit the trade marketplace, this slim volume reads like it were much longer.
Along with the clever variation of the classic Christmas song, there are things to touch, smell, feel, and see.
