WWII Online Guide - The Ground War
Limit is a standard set of vehicles that a player can spawn from practically any spawn point, including all infantry types, light anti-tank weapons, and some transport vehicles.
When that vehicle, airplane, or infantryman is taken into battle by a player, it is removed from the pool it was created from (general or mission).
This means that any vehicle spawned out of the CP and does not end in a RTB result will no longer appear at that CP until such a time that Reinforcements will be available again (when it is again back in supply or Ownership is returned).

According to the narrative of a combatant of the 4th Armored Division, the colonels of tank regiments and the commanding generals of brigades were always in the very front of the fight, in their own tanks.
However, the rapidity of the reactions of a command is dependent on the presence of the commanding officer at the front.
All vehicles that are not actual combat units--all administrative, supply, and maintenance equipment--are kept at the absolute minimum consistent with the rapid movement of the command.

 CHAPTER V1
Vehicles and animals were a part of the unit equipment of most veterinary detachments and units which were deployed in the oversea theaters; these were used in the transportation of personnel and equipment, the collection of daily supplies (including rations), and the evacuation of sick and wounded animals.
Matters relating to the equipment and supply of veterinary personnel and units in the oversea theaters were chiefly limited to liaison and to the advisory assistance given by theater veterinarians to the medical supply officers who were located in the various theater surgeons' offices.
Obviously, the newly submitted list for veterinary civilian supply was critically at variance with the several small unit assemblies which had been developed in Washington, D.C., because the latter presumably were based on probable needs where American methods of disease control and treatment were employed.

Chapter XX: Services Units Around The World
Whether they were of combat, combat support, or service types, the smaller Negro units were easier for the Army to ship and to employ overseas than, large units.
Combat support units went into combat either as members of groups or as separate battalions assigned to corps and attached to divisions, particularly in Europe.
While non-participant observers continued to conclude that the efficiency of Negro service units was in direct proportion to the "efficiency, enthusiasm, ability, and number of their officers," they nevertheless felt that units performed their tasks in construction, water supply, and dump truck operations with credit.

 The Mercenary Variable
For the United States, the crucial benefit of privatized military services is lessened scrutiny of its foreign activities, and a level of disassociation from activities it deems unpleasant necessities.
The degradation of combat capacity in post-rotation Iraq is offset somewhat by the construction, via very lucrative contracts awarded to Dick Cheney's pals at Kellogg, Brown, and Root, of permanent barracks with big generators and air conditioning, which I'll return to in a moment.
One of the tactical rationales for the use of these privatized combat units is that they are both more flexible and agile in responding to a world where asymmetric warfare is becoming the norm.

Factsheets Database - Tank Classification - Powered by ReviewPost   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
WWII tanks were generally classified by weight and role: fast, relatively inexpensive light tanks for reconnaissance, general-purpose medium tanks, and slow heavy tanks for breakthroughs and long-range fire.
After WWII light tanks continued in the reconnaissance role for some time thanks to their modest cost and potential for amphibious capabilities, but have been eventually replaced by infantry carriers and armoured cars.
Heavy tanks, having shown their limitations in WWII, experienced a limited arms race of progressively more heavily-armed and armoured designs, but these too were eventually phased out in favour of the increasingly capable and flexible medium tanks.
