I think it strays a bit too far from the Manga at certain points, and there are alot of fans who think (unfortunately,) if you watch the anime, and dont read the manga, you know everything.
Now to be fair, Seisouhen was presenting the characters not as Watsuki's manga characters, but as traditional Japanese story characters.
So Seisou is a good tale of traditonal Japanese culture, but as a RuroKen story, it is a complete failure with zero canonicity.

And no, I can't read Japanese or Chinese - in the old days of fandom, we used to print out the English translations and read while looking at the manga's pictures.Manga used to be defined as "Japanese comics." Any true fan would absolutely lose it if they heard that definition.
And all those translated versions I have show how international Japanese manga are these days, so if you need some Clamp in Spanish or some Yuu Watase in French.

What needs to be remembered is that the Japanese will not be getting Wii Sports bundled with the hardware like we will, therefore it is classed as a separate launch title.
That's why it's impossible for a manga to be accepted over there unless it's done by a Japanese artist, or possibly promoted in Japan first.

After watching a bit of anime or reading manga in Japanese, it will quickly become apparent that the Japanese have words for sounds that cannot be heard.
In addition to those onomatopoeia which imitate the sounds of nature, called gisei-go in Japanese, Japanese recognizes two additional types of onomatopoeia: one that basically suggests states of the external world (gitai-go), and another that basically names internal mental conditions and sensations (gijoo-go).

The manga was a failure in Japan, even with Spidey-fans there.
Nonetheless, this was to be the first time in a Japanese superhero series in which a costumed superhero (as opposed to a regular pilot, such as in MAZINGER Z) rode a giant robot.
The STORY is what bugs me! The Japanization is much more extreme than the aformementioned manga from 1970, and here, Spidey's foes are nowhere to be seen.
