In video and television, noise refers to the random dot pattern that is superimposed on the picture as a result of electronic noise, the 'snow' that is seen with poor (analog) television reception or on VHS tapes.

Seperating general/non-technical discussions from the more_geeky/technical discussions would help focus on particular set of topics without filling up mailboxes of people who would not be interested in that direction.

That is the medical condition of loud ringing, buzzing, hissing, of varying pitches of the ear, to which requires medical expertise.
There are no associated headaches or other medical conditions I am aware of, nor have I been exposed to loud noise, which is said to trigger the sounds.
