	MARC Code List for Organizations
		This code list is an essential reference tool for those dealing with MARC records, for systems reporting library holdings, for many interlibrary loan systems, and for those who may be organizing cooperative projects on a regional, national, or international scale.
		While organizations are free to employ these codes for their own purposes, the primary use of them by the libraries and other organizations is still for bibliographic applications.
		The MARC organization codes are structured and employ mnemonics to assist in visual location and identification of the institutions represented.

	Nonprofit Nationwide Solicitors Mailing List
		The list has been edited to omit registrants that are foundations or trusts associated with an organization already on the list.
		The list is composed primarily of 501(c)(3) public charities, but also includes 501(c)(3) private foundations, 501(c)(4) political action groups, and other nonprofit organizations that solicit contributions.
		The list of nonprofit organizations in the nationwide solicitors mailing list was generated as part of a research study to better understand the nature of nonprofit regulation by states, the degree of compliance with these laws and regulations, and the cost of compliance that is incurred by nonprofit organizations soliciting nationwide.

		Their entire staff is volunteer and as an organization has been designated by the IRS 501 (c) (3) Resources include videos, printed material from their seminars, advance directive for pet care, etc. One of the videos I reviewed was very nicely done showing a typical visit and demonstrating visit etiquette and safety.
		PAL is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that brings people and animals together, brightening the lives of the lonely, easing the pain of the sick, and enriching the world of at-risk children.
		Canine Outreach, Incorporated is organized exclusively for the charitable, scientific, and educational purpose of providing, through its members, well-trained, affectionate, and obedient dogs for therapeutic contacts with the elderly, the disabled, and the young in hospitals, homes, nursing facilities, schools, and pre-schools or other locations.
