A percussionist is a musician who plays a percussion instrument.
Although drummers and vibraphonists are considered percussionists, this list only includes percussionists known for playing a variety of percussion instruments.
If a percussionist specializes in a particular instrument, it is listed in parentheses.

 Susan Deaver Thesis
Listed as cellist on both the Davidovsky and the Sollberger was Frederick Sherry.
The most significant addition to the list of performers was that of cellist Fred Sherry, who was listed on the season flyer as "Frederick Sherry." Sherry had first appeared as a performer with The Group on the Fromm Concert of commissioned works at the end of the Fifth Season.
Listed in its season flyer were four program and and three special concerts in the spring which featured performances by outside groups.

From 1993-2000, the core ensemble was composed of outstanding central European percussionists, and some of the best musical artists from those countries have performed with the group as guest soloists.
The percussionists of the PPP involved in the program for the IWBC 2003 are the leader of the group, Amy Lynn Barber, Jimmy Finnie - Associate Professor of Percussion at Indiana University, and Craig Paré - Associate Professor of Music and Director of Bands ad DePauw University.
Dan or “M. P” as his students call him is a legendary tuba artist, teacher and pedagogue as well as a trailblazer in a variety of genres including work as a sol recitalist, chamber musician and even jazz.

 A chronological list of the musical works of John Cage
Works that exist in multiple transcriptions are listed under the original (oldest) version, with notes indicating the dates of the transcriptions.
The work list from his dissertation (Thema's en variaties: Systematische tendensen in de compositietechnieken van John Cage, University of Amsterdam, 1996) is highly recommended for those wanting more detail, plus information about all the "non-works" I left out of my list.
Some of the pieces I have listed as unpublished may very well be published by now, since C. Peters has been bringing a number of these titles out in the years since Cage's death.

The following list of compositions of Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988) was taken originally from a Musike-Konzepte article by Rainer Rehn, with (at this point) extensive corrections and additions by me. It might easily be incomplete, or inaccurate in places where I have no direct experience.
The listing has recently been enhanced by consulting the revised New Grove article, which named six previously unlisted pieces, as well as the Scelsi Foundation.
I have made few efforts to update this list for the web; it was a pre-web text listing.

Herbie Mann's reputation as a flutist took a distinctive turn in l958, when he followed legendary jazz DJ Symphony Sid Torin's suggestion that he add a conga player to his group.
This added rhythmic element boosted Herbie Mann's popularity and the list of Latin percussionists who played with him in the late 50's and 60's reads like a Who's Who of the genre: Candido, Ray Barretto, Olatunji, Potato Valdes, Willie Bobo and others.

I had this other pianist I was working with, and I had maintained a great loyalty to for a number of years, Keith Herrmann, who wrote “Romance/Romance.” He was the pianist in “Cats,” we worked on “Memory” together.
