Constraints placed on non-traditional teaching styles by traditional classrooms and furnishings are examined, as well as the ways teachers used, and avoided, the non-classroom workspaces provided for them.
Emphasis is placed on doing something as the best way for learning to occur, and computer simulations that engage students to take action, wrestle with failure, and develop emotional connections with the experience is the best solution for this task.
