Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 – June 8, 1845), one of the founders of the Democratic Party, was the seventh President of the United States, serving from 1829 to 1837.
Jackson was born in a backwoods settlement in the Waxhaws area in the Carolinas on March 15, 1767.
Jackson was a cadaverous figure standing at 6 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighing at in between 130 and 140 pounds (64 kg) average.

The Mount Jackson Historic District was listed in The National Register of Historic Places in June of 1993.
The name was changed in honor of President Andrew Jackson, who was a frequent visitor on his travels from Washington, D.C. to his home in Tennessee.
In 1897 the Mount Jackson Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy was organized to care for the cemetery and erect a monument.

Interesting places in the county included Sugarloaf Township, formed in 1812 under the name "Harrison" with the name later changed to reflect the importance of the maple sugar industry in the area.
Named for Thomas Dickson, president of the DandH Railroad from 1869 to 1884.
Near Peru, IN, there is a state park named for her and along the Mississinewa River in Indiana there is a monument at the final resting place of Mocanaquah, the "Young Bear." There is also a state park in PA dedicated to Frances Slocum and named in her honor.

Professor Jeffrey Rosen, apparently unnerved by the success of Matt Homann's write-in campaign to be named as of the "Top 20 Legal Thinkers," has launched a publicity-seeking missile in a wide-ranging attack on a range of blogging targets with his recent article in the New York Times Magazine.
Note that Rosen is actually listed as an official candidate for one of the Top 20 Legal Thinkers, unlike popular write-in candidate, Matt Homann who was left off the list, as were practicing lawyers in general.
In the post, he lists some of his pet blogging peeves, which seem to be considered cardinal violations of blogging etiquette.

The above list of quotations is interesting, but it certainly doesn't mean that Iraq was groovy and that WMD was the only legitimate reason for the conflict.
the weapons are in one place or another, and then either north, south, east or west of one of those places.
That list does mount into the millions, and probably even exceeds the millions of deaths caused by the USA's vain and pointless war in Vietnam.
